How Epic Mode builds to it

Epic Mode opens with a Prologue battle, continues for four full chapters, and ends with The Last Battle. Across those chapters the Light grows its five core heroes and the Shadow advances its own dark agenda — so by the finale, both sides arrive with everything they have built.

The finale changes the shape of combat. Instead of the usual three battle positions there are four, and instead of committing a single army each player brings all of their armies to bear. The first player to complete seven Events claims a powerful advantage going into the fight, and if Rand al'Thor has reached his highest level the Light unlocks a capstone tile — a major bonus reserved for this last stand.

The Shadow's path runs through The Dark One's Prison, a deck of eleven unique, high-impact cards, while the Light races to seal away the threat before Tarmon Gai'don decides the turning of the Wheel.
