Compare the modes
| Mode | Players | Play time | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hero Mode | 2 | 60-90 minutes | The approachable, evening-length entry point. A tense, asymmetric two-player duel of Light versus Shadow that teaches the full five-action core loop without the army-battle layer. Designed to be learnable in one sitting. |
| Epic Mode | 2 | longer than Hero Mode (full campaign scale) | The complete saga. Massive armies march the map, heroes grow from villagers into legends, the Forsaken are unleashed one by one, and everything funnels into a climactic multi-position Last Battle that decides the world's fate. |
| Solo Mode | 1 | comparable to Hero Mode (uses Hero Mode baseline) | A much-requested one-player mode added late in the Kickstarter. A card-driven automated Forsaken opponent navigates the map via 'takeovers', builds its own Pattern, leaders and Wheel, and scores in the normal way so the solo game feels like a real match. |
