Missions & the Weave
War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time
Two missions are contested each Chapter; the Weave action lets your Pattern sway them.
How missions work
Each Chapter, two missions are available for both players to contest — a total of six per game in Hero Mode, or eight in Epic Mode. The two missions of a Chapter are told apart by a Snake and a Fox symbol. Missions are the narrative heart of each Chapter, and both sides race to satisfy their conditions on the map.

The Weave action
One action has an especially close relationship to your Pattern: the Weave. It advances your Wheel tracker and lets you add control markers to one of the open missions.
To influence a mission, the card you play that turn must share one of the mission's two skill icons. When it does, you add your full value of that skill from your Pattern — including the card you just played. As the game goes on and your Pattern grows, you can exert huge influence on missions that match your strengths.
